In a little less than seven months from now the FEI European Championships will kick off at the familiar venue of the CHIO Rottedam. For many years Jumping, Dressage and Para Dressage are the focus disciplins at the CHIO Rotterdam. No surprise that these are the disciplins of the upcoming FEI European Championships in Rotterdam. Together they represent the largest equestrian event ever organized in Rotterdam. And such a large event has impact on how the setup of the show grounds will be this year. Everyone who has visited CHIO Rotterdam before knows that there is limited space in and around the 'Kralingse Bos'.

Like a regular CHIO Rotterdam there will be two arenas. The Rotterdam stadium will facilitate all the Jumping and Dressage competitions and all prize giving ceremonies, including those of the Para Dressage. The Rotterdam stadium will be bigger with more seats than usual at CHIO Rotterdam. There will also be an extra warming up arena. That makes there is less space available. The well known area with the Grandstand, the Rotterdam arena and the Para-Dressage arena will primarily have an equestrian atmosphere. The other public and hospitality facilities, merchandising and our famous Rotterdam Stroodorp (i.e. promovillage) will be hosted at a brand new location. A prestigious spot with enough space to welcome all partners, guests, visitors and fans. At the lake shores of the Kralingse Plas we will establish an avenue with a magnificient view on the Rotterdam skyline. Check the artist impression at this news item. Currently we're working on the detailed designs but we promise to keep you posted. Make sure you subscribe to our newsletter and follow our social media.
