Terms and Conditions Ticket Sales and Visitor Policy

Terms and Conditions ticket sales

Any visitor of the CHIO Rotterdam wishing to use this admission ticket will comply to the following terms and conditions.

  • In the event the CHIO Rotterdam (or any part of its programming) are fully or partially cancelled, the visitor will not be eligible for partial or full refunding of the ticket price or any other damages. Should the event be resumed or restarted on another day, the visitor has the right to be present at this occasion.
  • Visitors in possession of this admission ticket, can only use the main entrance to the competition grounds.
  • An entrance ticket entitles the visitor to access the event grounds, the booths, catering, and the Straw Village. With the Thursday ticket, the visitor is entitled to a reserved seat on the Ratina grandstand (sections E and F, first come first served) on Thursday, June 20. However, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, access to a grandstand is not included.
  • A Ratina ticket (covered and uncovered) entitles visitors to:
    • Access to the event area; the stands, catering and Stroodorp;
    • An unseated seat on the Ratina tribune on Thursday, Friday and Saturday during the jumping program (free choice of seat according to the principle full = full)
    • A seated seat on the Ratina tribune on Saturday during the dressage program and on Sunday
  • A Grandstand ticket entitles visitors to:
    • Access to the event area; the stands, catering and Stroodorp;
    • A seated seat on the Grandstand Tribune.
  • A ticket for the Master Club Lounge entitles visitors to:
    • Access to the event area; the stands, catering and Stroodorp;
    • Access to the Master Club Lounge in the Grandstand on Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the jumping program or the dressage program (depening on the chosen day)
  • The visitor will enter the grounds at their own risk. The organizing committee of the CHIO Rotterdam cannot be held accountable for any damages (including damage or loss of goods or damage of persons) suffered by any visitor on the grounds of the CHIO Rotterdam.
  • The visitor is aware of the presence of horses on the grounds and is aware of the risks this may involve, particularly in areas where horses and people meet. Visitors may not walk on paths designated for horses and their riders. Visitors must, for their own safety, always follow instructions of the staff.
  • We follow the FEI code of conduct for the welfare of horses and expect the same from the visitor. The FEI expects everyone involved in our event to adhere to the FEI Code of Conduct and to recognize and accept that the welfare of the horse must come first at all times.
  • Dogs are not allowed on the show grounds.
  • People who cannot be held accountable for their own actions will need to be accompanied by a caretaker who will be held responsible for these persons. The CHIO Rotterdam will not accept any accountability regarding these persons.
  • Visitors that cause damage or harm to other people or goods in any way during the event will be held personally accountable for these damages and are personally liable.
  • Visitors are obliged to follow all instructions on (warning) signs and all instructions given by the CHIO Rotterdam staff at all times.
  • The organizing committee of the CHIO Rotterdam reserves the right to deny individuals or organizations access to the grounds without explanation or reason given; as well as the right to remove individuals or organizations from the grounds, stating the reasons for doing so.
  • Tickets purchased can be refunded until May 31st through [email protected]. After June 1st, the option for a refund will no longer be available.

House Rules

We believe it is important that every visitor feels welcome. By entering the event ground, everyone indicates that they are aware of and agree to the following rules:

  • Anyone entering the event ground must be in possession of a valid admission ticket or accreditation.
  • Entering the venue is at your own risk, the organization is not liable for lost and/or damaged property, as well as for damage in any form whatsoever to visitors / participants / employees / volunteers themselves.
  • We expect an open attitude towards other visitors, volunteers and stakeholders, regardless of their origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion and age.
  • We do not tolerate any form of intimidation, disrespectful behavior: racism, aggression, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, rowdiness or vandalism.
  • We do not tolerate any form of (sexual) inappropriate behavior. If requested, you are required to show a valid identification document (passport, driving license or identification card).
  • Bicycles/scooters are not allowed on the event ground but must be left at the designated places.
  • Visitors under the obvious influence of alcohol and/or narcotics will be refused access to the event ground inexorably.
  • Visitors must refrain from undesirable behavior. Undesirable behavior will lead to removal from the event ground.
  • Instructions from the organization and employees must always be followed.
  • It is forbidden to bring: glass, cans, blow/punch/stab/firearms (or objects that qualify for this) or narcotics.
  • Glassware outside the VIP areas (Egano stand, Top Gun stand and Grandstand) and the champagne bar is not allowed.
  • Cameras are allowed on our site to be used without the use of flash; "selfie sticks" are not allowed because the view of the other visitors must remain as optimal as possible.
  • Bags, backpacks and the like can be checked by security for the presence of such objects.
  • It is possible that a search will be carried out on the site if the organization deems this necessary in the context of public order and safety.
  • All photos taken during the event are free of rights and for the promotion of CHIO Rotterdam, for commercial purposes pictures may only be taken with the permission of the organization.
  • By entering the event ground, the visitor accepts the presence of camera equipment on the ground. CHIO Rotterdam is authorized to make image and/or sound recordings of the event. CHIO Rotterdam has the full right to use the relevant images/recordings of visitors, participants and the participating horses.
  • It is not allowed to drink alcohol under the age of 18. If you are younger than 25, you can only consume alcohol after showing a valid ID.
  • Smoking is not allowed on VIP areas (Egano stand, Top Gun stand and Grandstand), on the public tribune and in the stands.
  • The shelter for lost children is located in the first aid post.
  • It is not allowed to trade, distribute flyers and sample goods around or on the site without permission from the organization.
  • When leaving, take into account the local residents, it is not allowed to bring refreshments.

If you do not wish to comply with this, you can be refused entry or you must leave the event ground.

We reserve the right to address visitors who do not adhere to the rules as described above and to act appropriately. Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated and may result in exclusion from current and/or future events.
