Americans Carlee McCutcheon and Alexander Crown took second and third place, McCutcheon set a time of 61.79 seconds with Coco Mercedes. Crown and Dorothy DH Z finished in 61.94 seconds.
Joy Lammers: "Next year I'll have been training with Yves Houtackers for thirty years. We walked the course together and he told me to go for it with Amazing. 'You didn't come here to practice', is what he told me. I managed to ride the course exactly how I envisioned it while walking it. Nice and quick and with the ideal distances in between the obstacles.
We have had Amazing Z ever since she was five years old and I've always ridden her myself. We went through all the classes together. She's a very sweet mare and takes to everything very well. She always wants to work for you. I've also brought another horse, Grace Kelly, and we competed in this competition as well. We also had a clear round, but with her I chose to ride at a calmer pace to build up to the Grand Prix I want to start her in as well.
I'm happy to have been able to compete again here this year. Rotterdam had a very nice arena and a wonderful venue It's impressive, and I learn a lot from riding here. There are many courses, but not as many venues as beautiful as this. Aside from competing here myself, I also enjoy being able to catch the action in the five star competitions, the Longines League of Nations especially. To be able to watch live is more fun than watching it on the livestream."
