On Sunday morning, June 22nd, the Kralingse Bos transforms into a true paradise for young horse lovers! Especially for children (and their parents!), we've put together a cheerful, surprising, and spectacular program. From mini trotters to show horses, from pony battles to dressage magic – this is something you don’t want to miss!
Programme – CHIO Rotterdam Youth Morning
🕙 10:00 – Mini Trotters from Duindigt
The fun kicks off at ten o’clock. Tiny horses with big dreams thunder down the track during the Mini Trot Races from Duindigt. Pulling their sulkies as fast as their little legs can carry them – a showstopper for all ages!
🕥 10:30 – Power Dressage Kür
Prepare for pure magic during the Power Dressage Kür. With captivating Freestyle shows by riders like Lotje Schoots, Jaclynn Otten, the Twint sisters, Maxime van der Vlist, and Carmen Coronel will showcase the grace and power of dressage in a dazzling pas de deux.
🕚 11:20 – Working Equitation Clinic with Marco Boavista
Marco Boavista brings you into the world of working equitation. Bold, fast, and all about the bond between horse and rider – a clinic you won’t soon forget.
🕦 11:50 – Jesse Drent Show
The incredibly talented and charming horse trainer Jesse Drent returns to the Kralingse Bos! Liberty dressage, stunts, and his extraordinary connection with horses will leave you with goosebumps and a big smile.
🕧 12:25 – Bixie Battle: Team Gold vs Team Silver!
Let the games begin! Four teams of young riders and their ponies race through a special obstacle course. It's all about speed and strategy. Will Team Gold triumph, or will Team Silver steal the show?
🕐 13:00 – Goldenhoofs Show
We’ll wrap up the morning with a breathtaking performance from the Goldenhoofs. Backflips, tricks, and stunts that defy gravity and spark imagination – the perfect finale to an unforgettable morning.
But wait, there's more!
Our enthusiastic running reporters – both only 9 years old – will be roaming the event with a ball pit full of surprise questions. They might just ask you for their special CHIO interview!
At 13:15, join Kristy Snepvangers and Jesse Drent for a meet & greet on the stage in the Stroodorp area.
And don’t forget the Kids Kuip! There’s a mini obstacle course, horseshoe decorating, face painting, goose feeding, coloring fun, and a balloon artist ready to create the craziest balloon animals you can imagine.
