The competitors in the dressage programme at CHIO Rotterdam have been announced. From the 5* Grand Prix featuring the international worldtop to classes for youth and para dressage – you’ll see them all in action in the Kralingse Bos. Both established names and emerging talents will enter the arena, with highlights including Charlotte Fry and her world champion Glamourdale, as well as a strong TeamNL line-up featuring Hans Peter Minderhoud, Marieke van der Putten, Thamar Zweistra, and Marlies van Baalen in the CDIO 5* classes. The FEI Nations Cup will see the Netherlands, Belgium and Great Britain battle it out. Dinja van Liere will compete in the Prix St. Georges, alongside other top riders.

The Future of Dressage in the Dura Vermeer Arena

In addition to the 5* competitions in the Rotterdam Arena, the Dura Vermeer Arena will also be buzzing with activity, showcasing all national youth classes. From Pony to Children, Juniors, Young Riders and U25: the very best of Dutch talent will be on display – the future stars of international dressage. They’ll be competing for qualification spots for this summer’s European Championships.

There will also be a national Grand Prix, a Prix St. Georges (including Dinja van Liere), and a strong para dressage class. This division will feature top names such as Demi Haerkens, Frank Hosmar, and Esra de Ruiter, along with many other leading para athletes.

“We haven’t had such a comprehensive dressage programme in years,” says Patrick van der Meer, CHIO’s Dressage Sports Director and TeamNL coach. “It’s great to have more Dutch combinations in the 5* classes, as it gives me valuable insights in my role as chef d'equipe. I’m really looking forward to this year’s CHIO.”*

With world champions, Olympic contenders, youth talent, and national heroes, CHIO Rotterdam 2025 promises to be one of the most versatile and spectacular editions in recent years.
