Saudi Arabia's Ramzy Al Duhami wins Dura Vermeer Prize

CHIO Rotterdam 2026's first prize in showjumping goes to Saudi Arabia. Ramzy Al Duhami and Addressee soared to victory in the Dura Vermeer Prize. Al Duhami edged out Dutch riders Hessel Hoekstra in second place and Maikel van der Vleuten in third place.

In this CSIO5*-showjumping competition with obstacles at 1,45 metres in two phases, 39 combinations made their appearance in the Rotterdam Arena. The first phase proved challenging: 17 combinations managed to avoid any penalty points to make it to the second phase. The quickest combined time produced the winner.

Dutch rider Maikel van der Vleuten and Kentucky Tms Z were in the lead for quite some time with a quick result of 61.57 - 33.09 seconds. Until Al Duhami appeared in the arena. In a daring first phase, he managed to stay in the clear in 58.86, really going for it in the second phase. His daring efforts were rewarded with a clear round in 31.64 seconds, evicting Van der Vleuten from the podium's top spot.

Hessel Hoekstra (NED) and VDL Novacific Eickenrode just fell short to best Al Duhami's result. Hoekstra set a clear combined time of 60.23 - 32.25 seconds, granting him second place, causing Van der Vleuten to move to third place.
