Time flies when you're having fun! The last day of CHIO Rotterdam has begun. The sun is shining and the temperature is fine for another day of showjumping action. The first 1.35m-competition of the day was a classic jump-off and featured two riders from the USA on the podium: winner Veronica Tracy and Monbeg Thunderball B finished in 28.29 seconden, Belgian Robin van Thillo came in second place with Q-Jewel’s Touch of Quality in 29.89 seconden. American rider Carlee McCutcheon and Lucifer JDV secured third place with 30.17 seconds.

Veronica Tracy: “I was able to have a good ride. I could cut across where I wanted and came into the rhythm well. But when I crossed the finish line, I had not expected I had been fast enough to win. This is my first time competing in Rotterdan. In 2019 I was here on the last day as a spectator and I immediately loved it. My trainer is Richard Vogel and he also rides my horses. He competes here this weekend with a horse of mine and suggested I compete as well. I was surprised to get the opportunity but I took it on with both hands. As a spectator I adored this event, and the same goes as a rider. The atmosphere, the enthusiastic crowd, the organisation, the venue in the woods, I love it all. Not just for me, but also for the horses this is a great place to compete. In the middle of the woods, how calm it is for them, you can't find that anywhere else. If it's up to I'll definitely come back here, no question about it."
