Laurent Goffinet winner of the Boels prize
French rider Laurent Goffinet and Absolut de Lacke have won this morning's Boels Prize. The other podium places were filled by Dutch riders. Wout Jan van der Schans came second with Forlan van den Sprengenberg and Maikel van der Vleuten finished in third place with Jorden van den Kruishoeve.
The first competition of the final day of CHIO Rotterdam, the Boels prize, was a 1,40m jumping competition in two phases. Of the fourteen combinations competing, eleven were cleared to ride the second phase. Nine pairs cleared the course without any mistakes. Laurent Goffinet was today's winner, taking just 24,61 seconds to clear phase two. He was over a second faster than Wout Jan van der Schans. Maikel van der Vleuten and his horse Jorden van den Kruishoeve made contact with the Boels obstacle, but fortunately for them, this did not result in a fault.
