It’s individual gold for Germany’s Vogel and the magnificent United Touch S

Germany’s Richard Vogel and the majestic 13-year-old stallion United Touch S claimed individual gold on the nail-biting final day of the Longines FEI Jumping European Championship 2025 at Casas Novas in A Coruña, Spain this afternoon.
The pair went to the top of the individual leaderboard on Thursday, but with less than a fence separating the top seven going into the today’s 12-horse second round medal-decider their advantage was fractional and there was no room for error.
And they held their nerve to pin Great Britain’s Scott Brash and Hello Folie into silver medal spot while Gilles Thomas and Ermitage Kalone, who were team medallists for Belgium on Friday, clinched the bronze.
This was Germany’s 16th individual European Jumping title in the history of the Championship that dates back to 1957 in Rotterdam.
