Great Britain scooped Jumping Team gold at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in Versailles (FRA) today when Ben Maher (Dallas Vegas Batilly), Scott Brash (Jefferson) and Harry Charles (Romeo 88) collected just two time faults to pin Team USA into silver medal spot and France into bronze.

The French finished on the same score as The Netherlands but the hosts claimed the third step of the podium when their combined times were just 0.57 faster than the Dutch.

This was only the third time for Britain to win the Olympic Team Jumping title, their first victory posted in Helsinki in 1952 and the last on home ground in London in 2012 when Brash was also in the side.

First to go for his country in today’s Final, Maher collected just a single time penalty while Charles cruised home on a zero score which put the team in a strong position. It was left to Brash to wrap it up and, with his usual calm and composure, he added just one more time fault to clinch it.

The US silver medallists Laura Kraut (Baloutineue), Karl Cook (Caracole de la Roque) and McLain Ward (Ilex) completed with four faults and, in the presence of their President, Emanuel Macron, the bronze-medal-winning French side of Simon Delestre (I Amelusina R 51), Olivier Perreau (Dorai D’Aiguilly) and Julien Epaillard (Dubai du Cedre) brought the home crowd to their feet.
