Hessel Hoekstra has won the Dura Vermeer Prize. The Dutch rider and Famariloma beat Belgian Jos Verlooy by just 0,03 seconds to take first place. Jack Ansems and Fliere Fluiter completed the podium.

58 of the 79 starting combinations managed to ride a clear round in the 1,45 meter competition in two phases, which was thrilling right up until the last start. Halfway through the event, Hoekstra and his twelve-year-old mare Famariloma set a razor sharp time of 26,98 seconds, taking the lead.

Jos Verlooy and FTS Killossery Konfusion came ever so close with a time of 27,01 seconds, but had to settle for second place. Jack Ansems and Fliere Fluiter came in third place with a time of 27,63 seconds.
