Sanne Voets extended this weekend her national Para-Dressage title with Demantur RS2 N.O.P. This is their 3rd title in a row and for Sanne the 7th national title overall. With Vedet she was the best Dutch Para-Dressage rider four times before. Rixt van der Horst is another known Para-Dressage rider, she claimed silver this weekend with Findsley N.O.P. Maud de Reu, part of the KNHS Talent team, debuted with success at the National Championships and claimed bronze with Webron.

With the sound of famous Dutch DJ Armin van Buuren, Sanne Voets and Demantur RS2 N.O.P. performed her winning Paralympic Freestyle (Rio de Janeiro 2016) once more and secured her Dutch title with reasonable distance from number 2. Sanne rides in Grade 4. "I so much enjoyed riding my freestyle test today! This is such a quality horse and together we have won so many competitions, I really hope we will have many more victories! It was a pity that Frank Hosmar and Alphaville N.O.P. were not able to give us some strong competition today. I now own 7 national titles and Frank has 8. And with 4 titles for Vedet and 3 for Demantur RS2 N.O.P. it will be quite challenging at my stables too."

Rixt van der Horst has won many, many medals during her career. Findsley N.O.P. did very wel at the Dutch Championships: "I am very pleased with what we have demonstrated during this NC. A good practice for what's coming this summer. We had a great weekend and great tests."

Maud de Reu is a new face at the National Championships. “Bronze is great! This is our first Championship. I decided this morning I wanted to enjoy this day and that worked well. I'm pleased that my scores are still improving.”

Chef d'equipe Joyce Heuitink: “This National Championship was so different from the ones before. In the past this was the time to decide on my team for an international championship. Now this year I have 2 more observations upcoming, Kronenberg and Germany. I have seen such great sports this weekend. We have a wide range of qualitative combinations, everybody scored above 70%. That means competition between the riders. And I have some more time to decide which four combinations will compete at the Longines FEI European Championships in Rotterdam."
