Defending champions, Germany’s Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and the 17-year-old mare TSF Dalera BB, proved unbeatable once again for the Individual title when winning today’s Dressage Grand Prix Freestyle at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in Versailles (FRA). This was the ninth time for Germany to claim Individual Olympic Dressage gold.

Second-last to go of the 18 qualified combinations, the pair threw down a technically correct and brilliantly executed performance to a French soundtrack that lifted the spirits of the spectators and put the biggest score on the board at 90.093% for gold.

And following their historic 15th victory in yesterday’s Dressage Team Final it was another great day for Germany when, in a repeat of the result from the Tokyo Olympic Games three years ago, the legendary Isabell Werth claimed silver with her new ride Wendy when posting a mark of 89.614.

Bronze went to the reigning individual World Champion, Great Britain’s Charlotte Fry and the stallion Glamourdale who posted 88.971 while The Netherlands’ Dinja van Liere and her stallion Hermes just missed a place on the podium when scoring 88.432 for fourth place.
