Day three of CHIO Rotterdam 2024 has begun: the first competition of today's programme was the DHL Prize, a two star 1.30m-competition in two phases. Belgian rider Boy-Adrian van Gelderen was the quickest in the final phase. With Electra SKR Z, he set a time of 36.11 seconds. Dutch rider Nikita Cheung finished second with Maestro Gusto van de Laarse Heide in a time of 36.78 seconds. Turkey's Muhammet Fatih Colak completed the podium with Jersey Devil in a time of 36.96 seconds.

Boy-Adrian: "My ride went completely according to plan. I haven't had Electra for a long time yet, we only purchased her in the winter, but she's a real competitor and in the short time we've been working together we've already won several times. I had not expected her to win here, because she does not have a lot of experience in this type of event yet. We're working on it, because she has the potential for more and I see her as a horse for the future. The plan is to keep her for a longer time period, but in our sport you can never tell what will happen. Electra is a proper mare though with a lot of personality and spirit. In the arena, she really comes into her element, it's her favourite place to be. Once we enter it, she's very sweet and goes all in."
