The Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) has announced the new format and name for the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ for the nextcoming four years (2024 - 2027). The new name will be Longines League of Nations. With a more exciting format, an increase of prize money, etc. FEI wants to bring the competition to the next level. The FEI has invited organizers to apply for the bid-process. CHIO Rotterdam is presenting the Nations Cup from the start in 1948 and is part of the Nations Cup series, since it's beginning in 2003 as the Samsung Super League.

Recently the Longines FEI Nations Cup™ Task Force announced the new format. Teams from the best ten countries in the world will compete at five venues for their place in the finals. Three qualifiers will be hosted in Europe and two in other parts of the world. The best eight countries will qualify for the finals. The FEI has increased the prize money significantly, for a qualifier to 700.000 euro's and for the finals to 1,6 million euro's. Furthermore there will be prizes for best rider, groom, owner, U25 rider, chef d'equipe and horse.

CHIO Rotterdam, like other interested organizers who aim to host one of the qualifier, has to apply before June 24th. "Of course we will prepare our bid", says Ron Voskuilen, general director of CHIO Rotterdam. "As of the very first CHIO Rotterdam, back in 1948, the FEI Nations Cup has been the most important class of our event, it's part of our name and DNA. And when FEI changed the Nations Cup into a competition, back in 2003, we embraced this opportunity to become one of the, than eight, best shows in the world. Now we're entering the next phase and we are still ambitious. Next year we celebrate the 75th edition of CHIO Rotterdam and of course an FEI Nations Cup must be part of this special edition.... And not only next year, also the years following!"
