Charlotte Fry wins Prix St Georges with Ilegro
Following Friday evening’s severe weather, Saturday got off to a sun-drenched start in the Dura Vermeer arena with the KM Zadels Prize, a Prix St. Georges class. None other than the British rider Charlotte Fry and one of her future prospects, Ilegro, claimed victory with a convincing score of 75.78%. Ilegro is an eight-year-old stallion by Inclusive.
Gerdine Maree also surpassed the 70% mark, taking second place with 71.07%. She achieved this result with the eight-year-old KWPN stallion Dutch Dream (by Dream Boy). Third place went to Kim Alting and the eight-year-old gelding Next Level (by Desperado), who received a score of 69.01% from the judges.
Charlotte: “Ilegro and I had a fantastic morning in Rotterdam. Everything went according to plan; he was in great form and is becoming increasingly relaxed. It is super to be able to ride a horse like this in Rotterdam and to give him such an experience at this stage of his training. We both enjoyed it, and I hope to be able to start him here in the Grand Prix in the future.”
