In a thrilling finale to the Team competition at the Longines FEI Jumping European Championship 2025 at Casas Novas in A Coruña, Spain today, Belgium took team gold ahead of Great Britain in silver medal spot and Germany in bronze.

This was Belgium’s second European title in the history of the team championship which dates back to 1975. They secured their first in Rotterdam in 2019.

Lying in bronze medal position as the final day’s action began, it was clear rounds from both pathfinder Nicola Philippaerts (Katanga v/h Dingeshof) and anchorman Gilles Thomas (Ermitage Kalone) along with just a single time fault from Thibeau Spits (Impress-K van’t Kattenheye Z) that clinched it. The four faults picked up by Pieter Devos (Casual DV Z) was their discard score, and they completed on a final tally of 5.61.

The margins were really tight throughout the entire team championship, and when Germany added four faults they dropped from overnight silver to bronze on a final scoreline of 8.19, while the overnight leaders from Great Britain had to settle for silver when they also put four on the board for a finishing score of 7.96.

Finishing just off the podium in fourth placed was Team Ireland on 12.39.
